Submit Your Work to the Texas Homeschool Magazine

We’re always searching for compelling stories to encourage our readers and inspiring homeschool testimonies! If you’re a writer with a passion for the Homeschool community, we’d love to see what you’ve got. Whether you’re an experienced author or just starting your writing journey, Texas Homeschool Magazine and Blog offers a platform for those stories to be heard.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking thoughtful, well-written submissions on the following themes related to homeschooling:

  • Work and Homeschool:

Being a mom is a full-time job in itself. Add homeschooling and a career into the mix, and the juggle becomes real. If you’re a mom working while homeschooling, you already know how much dedication, patience, and planning it takes.

Whether you’re a mom working from home or outside the home, balancing homeschooling with a career is no small task. We want to hear your story, we want to step into your shoes and hear how you keep all the plates spinning.

  • Teen Voices: As a homeschool senior in Texas, your final year is filled with excitement, reflection, and anticipation of what comes next. Whether you’re preparing for college, launching a career, or exploring your future in other ways, we want to hear from you! This is your chance to share what homeschooling has meant to you, how you navigated or are actively navigating your senior year. Let your story inspire other homeschool teens and families in Texas.
  • “Homeschooled”: We believe that homeschooling isn’t just about education—it’s about laying the foundation for lifelong success, personal growth, and entrepreneurial spirit. If you’re a homeschool graduate, we want to hear from you!  We are looking for stories that showcase where your homeschooling journey has taken you today.
  • Have you started your own business? Landed your dream job? Achieved a level of success you’re proud of? We want to share your story and inspire the next generation of homeschoolers. Entrepreneurship: Did you start your own business? If so, how did homeschooling contribute to your entrepreneurial mindset and success?
  • Voices of Freedom: Explore the freedom that homeschooling offers. Who are the voices that gave us that freedom, and who are the voices who are working to keep the freedom we have? Discuss ongoing issues in local and state-level political homeschool issues.
  • Adaptive Homeschooling – Homeschooling is a unique adventure, and for moms educating special needs or adaptive children, it’s a path filled with both incredible challenges and deep rewards.  We believe in amplifying the voices of moms who are courageously shaping their children’s futures in a way that is tailored to their individual needs. If you are homeschooling a child with special needs, learning differences, or any form of adaptive education, we want to hear from you. Your experience, tips, struggles, and triumphs can inspire and support others who are on the same journey.
  • Personal Homeschooling Stories: Share your unique homeschooling experience—what works, what challenges you’ve overcome, and the lessons learned along the way. Share how your family began homeschooling and what that transition looked like. Did you come to homeschooling by choice, necessity, or a combination of both? What were your initial fears or challenges, and how have you overcome them?
